Does Money = Happiness?

Description:
Part 1 - Students will research the per capita income of about 10 countries (see resources below).  They will create a box and whiskers plot, or other appropriate univariate data display, and analyze the data for relevant statistical quantities such as max, min, range, median, mean, standard deviation, etc.
Part 2 - Students will research a second statistic for the same countries (see options below) and create a scatterplot of their bivariate data.  Wikipedia is very good for this.  They can further analyze for correlation and discuss issues of causality.

Standards:
Part 1 - Univariate statistics, analysis, measures of central tendency, outliers, and visual display (histogram, boxplot, etc.)
Part 2 - Bivariate statistics, scatterplot, correlation/causation, regression.
