Who We Are

Description: Students collect data about themselves and their community.  They then present, analyze and compare this data using appropriate statistical displays and analysis tools.
Options: This project is very open-ended, but two ideal formats are class sharing through edmodo (or "twinning" ) with another school in another country.  Googledocs is also an excellent medium for this project since it allows for easy online collaboration and has some good display options.
You can create a form (easy) and have the responses go directly to a spreadsheet.
Standards: Displays and analysis of statistical data (range, measures of center, outliers, etc.)

Resources, Tools, Samples and Links

  • Sample survey questions using a google form.  The responses go directly into a spreadsheet.
  • Sample display and analysis from geogebra (you will need geogebra to view this).
