World Population

Picture
Description: Students will collect data pertaining to human population growth over the last century.  They will develop a mathematical model for this data.  Students will research values for Earth's "Carrying Capacity" and use their model to predict when our planet will reach this limit. Finally students will prepare a report describing their results and discuss one global consequence of overpopulation.

Standards: Use of exponential and/or logistic regression, modeling.

Project Details

Population lab assignment sheet.
Turn in final product as pdf through edmodo account or blackboard.
